Hand this to someone and they can add you as a friend with it. Your RiftTag is shown only to you and your friends — it never appears out in the world.
3–16 characters: letters, digits and underscores. The four-digit number after the # is dealt by the Rift and may change when you pick a new handle.
Your first change is unrestricted; after that a handle stays put for 30 days.
Draw the veil over an avatar and, for as long as that avatar is out in the world, your whole account reads as offline to your friends — even with this page or the Friends page open. The veil lingers for about 30 seconds after you leave the world.
It only hides that you are around. Your friendships and blocks stay exactly as they are, and messages from friends still find you.
A block covers the whole account behind that avatar — it cuts both ways, across every avatar they have and every avatar you have. Only the avatar name you blocked is listed here.
Ignoring is quieter than a block: you stop hearing from them, and they are never told.
